COMING EVENT

SUNDAY 29TH MARCH 2009.  GAWLER TO SWAN REACH RUN.

  

Meet at TAFE car park 8.30 for 9am start.
Departing Gawler for the 1 1/2 hour 90 kms. Drive to Swan Reach via Barossa Valley, Keyneton, Sedan hill, Sedan and Swan Reach across ferry.
At 10 30 am morning tea and a 45 minute visit to Swan Reach Museum.
11.30 visit Yabbie Farm on edge of town for a guided tour.  Souvenirs and produce available. Toilets on hand.
At 12.45 the Murray Mallee Auto Club will join our club for lunch at either the Swan Reach Hotel or that club will organise a
bar b cue lunch on the lawns facing the Murray River.  Toilets on hand.
After lunch the Murray Mallee Auto Club has invited us to join them for a tour of Ngaut Ngaut at Nildottie.
This is an Aboriginal Culture and Dreaming tour and is run by guides. The tour will finish with a boardwalk tour to the top of the cliffs (wheelchair access)
for some of the best views along the Murray.
Tour continually used by Captain Cook Cruises and Murray Princess. 

NOTE:   3 tours are all optional and members who wish to opt out of any can spend time exploring the Antique Shop and adjoining small craft shop. 

Return to Gawler same route as the morning or cross river at Walkers Flat, up Cooks Hill and through Mt. Pleasant, Williamstown and back to Gawler..
